One of my top tips for great looking senior pictures is to have nice lips.\u00a0 That doesn’t mean you have to go overboard on the lipstick.<\/p>\n

It does<\/em> mean that they should not<\/em> be dry and cracked.\u00a0 That just is not pretty.\u00a0 So for great lips, these first three are essential:<\/p>\n

\"Beautiful<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00a0Exfoliate<\/strong> – yes you can exfoliate your lips, just be gentle!\u00a0 Try Satin Lips<\/a> by Mary Kay.\u00a0 Or for a quick fix at the last minute, mix together a teaspoon of honey with a teaspoon of sugar and apply to lips in a gentle circular motion.<\/li>\n
  2. Moist<\/strong>urize Daily –<\/strong> at least a week\u00a0 before your senior pictures, start being diligent about applying moisturizer to your lips.\u00a0 Your lips are exposed everyday to all kinds of things that can dry them out – sun, wind, air pollution, medications, etc.\u00a0 To make sure they are photo ready, keep applying that lip balm!\u00a0 Key ingredients to look for are coconut butter or oil, shea butter and Vitamin E oil<\/li>\n
  3. Sun Protection<\/strong> – just like your skin, your lips need protection from the sun!\u00a0 Burned, blistered or cracked lips just won’t do for senior pictures!\u00a0 Choose a balm with a minimum SPF of 15, even in the winter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Everybody can follow those basics, but let’s take it a few steps further and really enhance your lips for picture perfection!<\/p>\n

    \"Senior<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \u00a0Tinted Balm<\/strong> is an excellent choice for those who want a hint of color but don’t want to use a traditional lipstick.\u00a0 Its great way to enhance your natural lip color, add moisture and even a bit of shine.\u00a0 Perfect for the more natural look in your photos!\u00a0 Check out Mary Kay At Play Tinted Balm<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Enhance the Shape of your lips with liner.<\/strong>\u00a0 Choose a color that matches your choice in lip color you want to use.\u00a0 Carefully outline your lip before applying lip stick.\u00a0 You can even change the shape of your lips slightly by tracing slightly outside your lip line.\u00a0 When you fill in with color, nobody will be able to tell.\u00a0 Add gloss for the finishing touch.<\/li>\n
    3. Be careful of the “Nude Lip Look”<\/strong>.\u00a0 Its on trend and looks great in real life.\u00a0 In photos, though, you don’t want you lips to look ghost like.\u00a0\u00a0 A nude lip should never be matte, but always have a little sheen or gloss.\u00a0 Look for a color that is just a shade deeper than your natural lip color to ensure your lips don’t just disappear under the harsh studio lights.\u00a0 This is a great article with tips on successfully creating the nude lip look – Click Here<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      My final tip<\/strong> – step out of your comfort zone and try some color!\u00a0 It can really help create some dramatic fun photos…something a little different and fun for your senior pictures!<\/p>\n
