Yes, plans changed and it was stressful and sometimes sad to see everything shift from the original dream; but this day was a celebration of  love, even during social isolation! To be there for this very special wedding touched me in ways I didn&#8217;t expect. &nbsp;From sharing proud smiles with Madi&#8217;s mom to the big hug from Rory&#8217;s grandpa, I felt like I was a member of a special club, an outsider welcomed into a family moment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Madi and Rory decided on getting married on their originally planned date, with a few changes.  Respecting social distancing guidelines and being concerned for the well being of everybody, they chose to keep their day small.  Only immediate family, Maid of Honor and Best Man were in attendance for the marriage ceremony.  The large celebration will take place at a later date with a special blessing ceremony to precede.  So, you all will have to wait to see her gown &#8211; and let me tell you,  it is gorgeous!  The temptation to share is real!  LOL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And Intimate Ceremony<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The day was pretty much the same as a traditional wedding day.  We met at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Mirror-Images\/153064508068867?eid=ARBhzVeCJOEAQ9UBM4T8D_0jA_zZCGYCogRn40odRxsRTkRnIHcD6tvwC5qH6aV-7CkUS3GyndhrWFUg\">Mirror Images<\/a> for some getting ready pictures.   Madi&#8217;s first look with her dad was probably one of the  most emotional ones ever.  Everybody cried!  And her first look with Rory was just as touching &#8211; more tears there as well.  The ceremony was small and intimate and perfect, with a surprise Honk and Wave Parade afterwards.  Social isolation didn&#8217;t prevent those who love Madi and Rory from cheering for them.  Hazen was a noisy place for a while!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A champagne toast followed.  We now know Rory will need to practice opening champagne bottles before the Big Celebration day!  More on that story later.  Some &#8220;just married&#8221;  portraits were taken, that I will share in a few months, too.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Cause for Celebration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Though a departure from the original plan, the day was beautiful.  I  loved the intimacy of it.  There was a feeling of closeness and the families joining and bonding that was emphasized because of the &#8220;smallness&#8221; of the group.  Kind of hard to describe, but was real, none the less.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After months spent social distancing, this is exactly what we needed to start feeling normal again. Honestly, what is better than loved ones gathering together to witness the the exchange of vows and the sacrament of marriage?  Celebrating love during social isolation and the beginning of a new life together is cause for joy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned to see the gorgeous gown and all the wedding day celebrations in August!
